Sunday Broadsheet

Make your afternoon sparkle with a fruity, fizzy drink! This flavored sparkling water with tropical fruit is refreshing, hydrating, and naturally sweet. All you need is a can of bubbly water and a handful of frozen fruit—easy, cheerful, and perfect for sipping on a sunny day.

Sparkling Flavored Water

I can’t get enough of a glass of sparkling water—bubbly, light, and endlessly versatile. It’s widely available, comes in countless flavors, and won’t break the bank. I love it because it keeps me refreshed while satisfying that craving for something fizzy.

Flavored Water with Fruit

Transform plain sparkling water into a naturally sweet, fruit-infused drink in seconds! This combo is cold, energizing, and packed with flavor. Today, I’m using one of my favorites: strawberry-pineapple sparkling water. But the options are endless, so you can get creative with whatever frozen fruit you have on hand.

Ingredients

Frozen tropical fruit (strawberries, pineapple, mango, berries, etc.)
1 can of sparkling flavored water (strawberry-pineapple works beautifully)

Equipment

Mason jar (and lid if desired)
Straw (bright colors make it extra fun!)

Instructions

Fill a mason jar with your frozen fruit.
Pour the sparkling water over the fruit.
Watch the bubbles dance, add your straw, and enjoy immediately!

Tips & Tricks

Keep cans of sparkling water in the fridge or pantry. Frozen fruit doubles as ice, cooling your drink naturally.
Add extra flavors like mint, lemon, or ginger for an extra kick.
Stir or gently mash the fruit to release more flavor as it softens.
If you don’t finish it right away, you can sip throughout the day, though the flavor may become slightly bitter over time.

Fruit Ideas

Any frozen fruit will work! Try:
Strawberries
Mango
Pineapple
Watermelon
Blueberries
Raspberries
For best results, choose chunkier fruits to act as ice cubes and maintain texture. Aldi’s Tropical Blend, Berry Medley, or Cherry Berry Blend are great choices for a mix of color, flavor, and texture.

Health Benefits

Flavored water keeps you hydrated while providing extra nutrients. Sparkling water hydrates just as well as still water, and fruit adds:
Antioxidants
Vitamins
Fiber
Electrolytes (potassium, sodium, magnesium)
This drink is a healthy alternative to:
Soda
Artificially flavored beverages
Alcoholic drinks

How to Cook Salmon Fillets in the Oven: A Complete Guide

Cooking salmon fillets to that ideal balance of flaky tenderness and juicy moisture starts with mastering oven temperature. Unlike heartier meats, salmon is delicate—even a few degrees off can turn it dry, rubbery, or undercooked. Temperature directly impacts both flavor and food safety: undercooked salmon may harbor harmful bacteria, while overcooking leaches out its natural oils and nutrients. Understanding how heat interacts with salmon’s fatty, tender flesh lets you tailor the cooking process to your fillet’s thickness and texture preferences, ensuring consistent results every time.
